CAN DIET REVERSE DIABETIC RETINOPATHY
.jpg)
Diabetic retinopathy damages blood vessels in the retina. Healthy eating and control of blood sugar, blood pressure, and cholesterol help protect eye health, but diet alone does not replace eye examinations or treatment.
Early disease may need monitoring. Depending on its severity, treatment can include injections, laser treatment, or surgery. Your eye doctor will recommend an examination schedule and referral when needed. New floaters, sudden blurred vision, or vision loss need prompt assessment.
